What Raphinha said
Speaking after the match, Raphinha highlighted the importance of unwavering belief, even when falling behind against a tough Atletico side.
“The important thing is to believe in the work. There are many matches where we might fall behind. We have to be prepared for that. This is the spirit we need to win matches like this,” he said.
The Brazilian stressed that maintaining composure was importnat, “We might concede a goal, but we need to keep our heads. We knew how difficult this match would be and that it could be similar to last year, with them scoring first.”
Raphinha also praised Barça’s tactical approach under their coaching staff.
He added, “The more we press high up the pitch, the closer we are to the opponent’s goal. That way, we’ll have more chances to score.”
Barcelona’s aggressive pressing helped them dominate possession and control the game's rhythm.
