Bandari managed to become the only Kenyan side to make the Africa Soccer Zone’s power rankings for the week, which prompted them into aiming a sly dig at Gor Mahia and the acquisition of a new bus.

Bandari’s social media team has aimed a subtle dig at Gor Mahia after they made Africa Soccer Zone’s power rankings for the second week of October.

The Dockers brushed aside Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday afternoon, while Gor Mahia were forced to a draw by Murang’a Seal on Saturday, consigning them to a third consecutive draw a week after they were also frustrated to a draw by Kenya Police at the Kasarani Stadium.

Bandari have won each of their last two games, first against Shabana and then against Sharks on Saturday, which was enough to put them 10th in the club rankings for the week.

This prompted the club’s social media team to aim a big dig at Gor Mahia, whose weekend ended on a sour note as their new bus unveiling was overshadowed by the chaos some of their fans caused after the 0-0 draw against Seal, citing frustrations at the controversial refereeing decisions made during the match.

“Mumeona hii ama mko na bus mpya? (Have you seen this or have you acquired a new bus?)” the social media team asked on X.

Gor Mahia had a new bus unveiled on Saturday, with ICT cabinet secretary Eliud Owalo overseeing the handing over after he played a big part in helping the side get its first bus since their old one was auctioned by former player Wellington Ochieng’.

Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns managed to make the top of the power rankings after they overcame Wydad Casablanca to win the inaugural African Football League tournament last Sunday, collecting three points.

Tanzania’s Yanga was second, with Egyptian giants Al Ahly occupying third place, adding one point, while Wydad dropped to fifth place.

Esperance, Lobi Stars, Berekum Chelsea and Maniema Union finished sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth respectively.
