Arsenal rekindles interest in Wolves' Pedro Neto for a £60 million January move, eyeing the Portuguese winger's childhood Arsenal dreams.

Arsenal has reignited their interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers' winger, Pedro Neto, ahead of the January 2024 transfer window.

The Gunners are reportedly eager to secure the services of the Portuguese sensation, who has recently showcased his remarkable talent despite overcoming injury setbacks.

Pedro Neto, the 23-year-old winger, has captured the attention of Arsenal's coaching staff and management, with both Mikel Arteta and Edu being ardent admirers of his skills on the pitch.

According to reports from The Mirror, Arsenal made an inquiry into signing Neto during the summer transfer window, only to face a swift rejection from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This is not the first time Arsenal has shown interest in Neto, as the club had also expressed their desire to sign him in 2022.

However, Wolves' asking price back then proved to be a major stumbling block for any potential deal. Now, with Neto back to his best form and consistently delivering stellar performances, Arsenal is prepared to make another move for the talented winger.

Pedro Neto's statistics speak for themselves, with one goal and four assists in just seven Premier League appearances this season. His recent performance against Manchester City demonstrated his potential as a constant threat on the field, reaffirming Arsenal's desire to secure his signature.

The Sunday Mirror suggests that Wolves may demand a substantial fee of approximately £60 million for Neto, which could make him one of Arsenal's most expensive acquisitions.

Despite the hefty price tag, Arsenal sees Neto as not only competition for the versatile Bukayo Saka on the right flank but also as a valuable addition to their left-wing options.

What could sweeten the deal for both Neto and Arsenal is the player's personal connection to the club. Neto has openly confessed to his childhood support for Arsenal, primarily due to the style and approach of former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

With Mikel Arteta shaping Arsenal into an attractive and dynamic side, the prospect of joining his boyhood club might be too enticing for Neto to resist.

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil has been effusive in his praise for Pedro Neto's recent performances, calling him "absolutely incredible" for his contributions this season.

O'Neil commended Neto's dedication and the high level of quality he brings to the team, further cementing his reputation as one of the Premier League's rising stars.

The key to any potential transfer will be Neto's ability to maintain his fitness and avoid injury in the coming months.

If he can continue his excellent form and stay injury-free, it is highly likely that Arsenal will make a substantial offer to secure the winger's services in the upcoming January transfer window.

Arsenal fans around the world will be eagerly anticipating the outcome of this transfer saga, hoping that Pedro Neto can bring his flair and talent to the Emirates Stadium.
