Super Eagles shot-stopper Stanley Nwabali has made a bold prediction ahead of the 2025 AFCON starting next month.
Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has declared that the Nigerian national team will not be mere participants at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Chippa United keeper is widely expected to retain his place as Eric Chelle's first choice in goal as Nigeria looks to go one step further, having finished as runners-up at the last edition.

Nigeria is drawn in Group C alongside Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda, but Nwabali insists the country's motivation is solely victory.
“Nigeria is a big nation,” Nwabali said on SuperSport Football.
“Going into a tournament like AFCON, which is one of the biggest in the world, the aim is to win.”
He acknowledged the heavy pressure that comes with representing a continental powerhouse.
“As a big nation, we are always expected to win and not just to participate, but football is unpredictable.
