Legendary midfielder Luka Modrić has officially signed with Serie A giants AC Milan on Monday, July 14th.

The news was announced by Milan's new sporting director, Igli Tare, who emphasized that the Croatian star will be a leader for the European giant.

He said, "Luka will be our leader, our key player. He's still highly competitive and hungry for titles.

"We need new leaders. I spoke with him personally, and I saw a man with an immense desire to remain competitive. His arrival will be crucial for the squad, which needs players like him – players with leadership qualities."

Modric leaving Real Madrid

Modrić reportedly clashed with Real Madrid teammates after a disappointing performance against PSG, particularly criticizing Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham for a perceived lack of effort and desire.

He reportedly singled out the Brazilian for refusing to press after losing possession, a criticism also leveled at Kylian Mbappé.

The lack of maximum effort from Los Blancos seemingly frustrated the football legend. Modrić won 28 trophies with Real Madrid, including six Champions League titles, making him the most decorated player in the club's history.
