Barcelona proposed wage for Lionel Messi has been revealed.

Argentine superstar Lionel Messi is reportedly willing to earn 1/3rd of his current Paris Saint-Germain salary to return to Barcelona.

The 35-year-old has seen his relationship with the Parisians deteriorate following a recent suspension and is expected to leave the club once his current deal expires at the end of the season.

Barcelona are a likely destination for the diminutive magician, and with their well-publicised financial straits preventing them from paying the World Cup winner what he currently earns at the French capital, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is said to be willing to earn significantly less to see the move happen.

Messi to take a pay cut

RMC reported this claim, stating that the PSG No. 30 will be willing to take a 66% wage cut to complete a sensational return to the club where it all started for him.

A future was quoted, and the source revealed that Barcelona are offering a €10m a year deal, which is just a little under €200,000 a week.

Barcelona are waiting on LaLiga to accept their viability plan, which ensures they are not going against FFP regulations, and are expected to complete the deal after ironing out the details with the league.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has been offered a deal worth £320 million per year if he decides to move to Saudi Arabia after his contract expires at the end of the season.

The government is reportedly taking part in conversations about Messi's potential move to Saudi Arabia, according to The Telegraph.
