Al Hilal players are being rewarded handsomely for their exploits at the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup

Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal are through to the FIFA Club World Cup final where they will play against European giants Real Madrid.

Al Hilal have so far beaten Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca and got past Brazilian side Flamengo in the semi-final enroute to the final, led by Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo.

Ighalo and the rest of his teammates are now set to be rewarded handsomely in cash for their achievements so far.

Following the victory against Flamengo, Saudi Arabian billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal pledged one million riyals to each player in the team.

The prince announced on social media, “And my special gift to them for this historic achievement is one million riyals for each player."

That amounts to £222,000 and in Ighalo's case around ₦122,715,255 in Nigerian currency for reaching the FIFA Club World Cup final.

Ighalo remains a key part of the Al Hilal squad and has started both Club World Cup games so far and is in contention to play the final against Real Madrid.
