Toronto Raptors defeated the Denver Nuggets 125-110 on Tuesday night, handing the rapidly slumping Nuggets a season-high fourth straight loss.

Denver Nuggets, including most people's pick for MVP, Nikola Jokic fell to the Toronto Raptors 125-110 for a morale-damaging fourth straight defeat of the season.

How it happened

Fred VanVleet scored 36 points for the Raptors as they rode the wave of a franchise-record, 49-point first quarter to defeat the shell-shocked Nuggets.

Nikola Jokic did his bit, scoring 28 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and contributing 7 assists but he failed to stop the onslaught from Toronto.

“Right now we’re just in chill mode, and you can’t be in chill mode with 13 games to go in the season,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone said.

“We’ve got to try to find a way to get our swagger back.”
