Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has suggested that a Premier League title for the Gunners could propel one of their stars to Ballon d'Or glory.
Arsenal are enjoying a strong season, leading Manchester City at the top of the table with just 12 matches left, as they chase their first league championship since the "Invincibles" season of 2004.
After three consecutive runner-up finishes, Mikel Arteta's side appears poised to finally break their long wait for the coveted trophy.
Emmanuel Petit is confident that Arsenal can secure the title and believes this team success could lead to the club's first-ever Ballon d'Or winner.

Declan Rice to win Ballon d'Or?
The French World Cup winner has identified midfielder Declan Rice as a prime candidate for the prestigious award, which honors the world's best player over the past year.
Rice has been a standout performer for Arsenal in both domestic and European competitions. However, Petit emphasised that team success is crucial for individual accolades, especially with a World Cup on the horizon.
"Declan Rice is potentially leading the race for the Ballon d'Or, but don't forget there is a World Cup at the end of the year," Petit told Ignition Casino.
"I think that could be very important for him, but he and the Arsenal team definitely have to win something at the end of the season."
"Declan Rice has been among the best midfield players for years now, but unfortunately, he has won nothing at Arsenal," he continued.
"If you want to be part of the greatest, you have to win titles, definitely. It doesn’t mean anything if people recognize you as one of the most special players on the pitch, but you don’t win anything at all."
