In Game 4 against the Miami Heat, the Denver Nuggets required a player other than Nikola Jokic or Jamal Murray to carry them.

The Denver Nuggets are now only one victory away from winning their first NBA title thanks to Aaron Gordon's heroics.

As the Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat 108-95 to take a 3-1 series lead in the 2023 NBA Finals, Gordon scored a postseason career-high 27 points.

With 23 points and 12 rebounds in Game 4, Jokic wasn't a push-over slouch, but he committed his fifth foul with 9:24 left in the fourth quarter and Denver leading by ten points.

The closest the Heat came during his five minutes on the bench was six points.

The Nuggets were up by 13 points going into the fourth quarter thanks to Bruce Brown, who ended with 21 points off the bench.

Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 25 points as they continued their attempt to become the first club in NBA history to win a title as a No. 8 seed. 

Bench players Kyle Lowry had 13 points, Duncan Robinson had 12 points, and Caleb Martin had 11 points, all while Bam Adebayo provided 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Gabe Vincent and Max Strus, the starting guards, scored two points collectively in 38 minutes.

On Monday at home, Denver may claim the first championship in the team's history in Game 5.
