Sha'Carri Richardson, Shericka Jackson, and Gabrielle Thomas booked convincingly their spots in the 200m final at the World Championships in Budapest.

World 100m champion Sha'Carri Richardson qualified for her second final in a week at the World Championships in Budapest.

Richardson finished second in 22.20s behind defending champion Shericka Jackson with an impressive time of 22.01s, while Marie Jose Ta Lou was third in 22.24s.

The American speedster recovered from her poor start to glide past the rest of the field, but fell short to Jackson's supremacy, crossing the finish line first.

Meanwhile, Julien Alfred continued with her impressive form from the NCAA season, winning the second heat of the semifinal in 22.17s, with Daryll Neita clocking a Personal Best of 22.21s for the second automatic qualification.

Jackson and Thomas are favourites for the title, but Richardson may spring another surprise just like she did in the 100m.
