The world's fastest man, Usain Bolt has laughed off the comparison pitting him against Frenchman Kylian Mbappe.

World’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, has commented on reports about Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe being compared to him after the recent time the latter clocked during a Champions League game.

Mbappe is widely regarded as one of the fastest footballers. He recently clocked an estimated speed of 10.9 seconds over 100m, over a second slower than Bolt’s world-record time of 9.58 seconds.

The comparison was made by popular UK state broadcaster BBC Sport posting the 100m speed of Mbappe as 10.9 seconds, which is 'just over a second' slower than Bolt's world record of 9.58 seconds.

However, his time could not even rank him in the top five fastest women in the world and therefore he is ranked joint-63rd on the women's 100m all-time list.

The time would also rank him joint-433rd in the world when compared to times run by under-18 boys over the last year.

When asked about the comparisons, Bolt said: “I was laughing when I saw it. The girls are running faster than that." The Jamaican was speaking to long jumper and founder of Jumpers World, Andreas Trajkovski.

Meanwhile, the multiple Olympic and world champion remains a legend whose times in the 100m and 200m world records are yet to be broken.

He set both world records at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin and no one has ever come close to any of his records. However, he believes that breaking his 100m world record will certainly be more difficult.
