For an exceptional 2023 season, Sha'Carri Richardson and Shericka Jackson are the highest-ranked female sprinters of the 2023 season.

World champions Sha'Carri Richardson and Shericka Jackson's dominant 2023 season has seen them secure the top spot as the highest-ranked and highest-paid female sprinters.

The list compiled by notable athletics website Track and Field News, represents the No. 1 woman in each discipline for 2023. This ranking also dictates the bonuses that will be paid by sponsors for each track meet they attended.

Sha'Carri Richardson is the reigning world's fastest woman

Richardson takes the lead in the 100m event based on her title-winning performance at the World Championships in Budapest, where she blazed to an outstanding Championship Record and Personal Best of 10.65s to win the 100m title.

In addition, the US champion and Female Athlete of the Year competed at more 100m meets and clocked the most sub-11s times by a female sprinter last season.

Consequently, Jamaica's Jackson was unstoppable in the 200m, staying undefeated throughout the season.

Shericka Jackson successfully defended her 200m world title at the world championships in Budapest

The defence of her world title in Budapest saw her run a blistering 21.41s, making her the second-fastest woman in history and the fastest woman alive in the event.

Jackson will then win the Diamond League titles in the 100m and 200m, ending the season as the most decorated and highest-earning female sprinter from competitions in 2023.
