Track stars Letsile Tebogo and Rhasidat Adeleke acknowledged each others greatness after they helped their countries qualify for the Paris Olympic Games.
Botswana's Letsile Tebogo couldn't help but acknowledge the heroics of Rhasidat Adeleke on the first day of the World Relays, who ensured her team punched two Paris Olympic tickets in record-breaking times.
Kicking off an iconic night for Ireland, the talented speedster ran a jaw-dropping second leg split time of 49.64s after receiving the baton from Cillin Greene, as her teammates Thomas Barr and Sharlene Mawdsley completed the job in a National Record of 3:12.50.
By doing this, they defeated the highly-rated Belgian team, who also qualified in a Season's Best (SB) of 3:13.18, while Great Britain was third and will compete in the repechage on Day 2.

Less than two hours after her outstanding run, Adeleke was back in the women's 4x400m event, as she ran another fantastic second leg split time of 49.48s, enough to give a leading position to her team and they brought it home in another NR of 3:24.38.
Mesmerized by the talented Irish star's performance, Tebogo took to his X page to acknowledge Adeleke.
"Much respect for @rhasidatadeleke," he wrote.

Likewise, Tebogo proved his worth with an inspiring blistering split time of 43.49s in the men's 4x400m qualifying rounds, as Botswana held on to his lead to win the race in 2:59.73 ahead of South Africa's 2:59.76.

Adeleke and Tebogo will be back in the final gunning for podium placements with their countries on the final day of the World Relays.
