Norwegian track star Karsten Warholm was back to winning ways, clocking a Diamond League Record in Oslo.

Karsten Warholm shattered the 400m Hurdles Diamond League Record (DLR) with a stunning 46.52s to win the event in front of his home crowd in Oslo.

The Norwegian and World Record holder was undisturbed from the start, going all out in his trademark style across the ten hurdles to cross the finish line in the fifth fastest time in history.

CJ Allen ran a good race, taking second in a Personal Best (PB) of 47.38s, while Wilfried Happio was third in a Season's Best of 48.13s.

With this performance, Warholm has propelled himself as the frontrunner to retain his world title in Budapest.

Speaking after the race, Warholm said he knew he was going to run something special and said he can lower his World Record this year.

"It was a race I will always remember - I felt really good today and knew something special was coming. Today shows in the right circumstances, I can really attack the world record, maybe even this year."
