National Youth Games: Bayelsa State Table Tennis set to conquer

The Youth Games is scheduled to be held in Asaba, the Delta State Capital from September 7th - 17th.

Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade, chairman of the Bayelsa State Table Tennis Association and Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, South South Zonal Representative has declared readiness for the 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

Ebikpolade stated that the boys are fully prepared for the events, which are scheduled to take place from September 7 to 17.

The table tennis chairman belived that the team is capable of shocking Nigeria in the Youth Games despite the absence of Samuel Boboye, Azeez Solonke and Etim Orok.

The NTTF South South zonal Boss affirmed that all the players going to Asaba for the 7th National Youths Games are players within range of the championship and that the association would never falsify age for any athlete.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated a National Identification Number (NIN) verification policy for Participating Athletes.

The NIN policy was announced at the end of the technical meetings between the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development officials, the Delta State Sports Commission, the local organizing committee, and technical directors from the 36 states and the FCT, Abuja.

The meeting also revealed the modalities to adopt for the Seventh National Youth Games to be hosted by the ‘Big Heart of the Nation’
