Long jump sensation Ruth Usoro has joined the growing list of Nigerian athletes with Olympic qualification after leaping to a world-leading mark of 6.87m.

Usoro leaped the massive Personal Best to win the women's long jump at the Jarvis Scott Open, which currently tops the world list this year.

Most importantly, the mark surpassed the Olympic qualifying standard of 6.85m, confirming her place to compete at the Games in Paris.

Her series were so impressive that she dominated the event all through her jumps, which are: 6.71m, 6.59m, 6.87m, 6.45m, x, and 6.81m.

Usoro joins Ese Brume as the Nigerian athlete's to have the Olympic standard in the women's long jump event.
