With his contract expiring in the summer of 2026, Guehi has informed Palace he will not sign an extension, all but ensuring a summer departure and sparking interest from several of Europe's top clubs.
Liverpool came close to signing Guehi last summer, but the deal fell through on deadline day when Crystal Palace failed to secure a replacement.
The collapse of that reported £35 million ($46.6m) move has significantly altered the 25-year-old's future.
Guehi to Bayern Munich
According to Sky Sports, Bayern Munich intends to act swiftly, with Eberl planning to meet Guehi as soon as he is eligible to negotiate freely.
When previously asked about discussions with Guehi's representatives, Eberl told DAZN, "It's absolutely clear that we as Bayern Munich are exploring the market.
Our clear goal is to extend Upa's [Dayot Upamecano] contract. That's our ultimate goal. If that doesn't work out, we have to be prepared. We would be foolish not to."
Palace manager Oliver Glasner has acknowledged the club will likely have to part ways with the defender.
"I think Marc has already told us that he doesn't sign a new contract, so he will leave next year," Glasner said.
"The club wanted [him to stay]. They offered Marc a new contract. But he said, 'No, I want to make something different. ' And that's normal."
Despite the failed transfer last year, Liverpool reportedly still sees Guehi as a potential long-term successor to Virgil van Dijk.
The urgency for the Reds has grown with Ibrahima Konate’s contract also set to expire in 2026, attracting interest from other clubs.
