'I belong to Saudi Arabia' — Ronaldo shuts down exit rumours after Al Nassr masterclass

Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo has reiterated his desire to remain in Saudi Arabia despite his recent strike action

Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed speculation about a potential departure from Al Nassr, insisting his future remains in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo commits to Saudi Arabia

Speaking after the game, Ronaldo was unequivocal about his commitment to playing in Saudi Arabia, despite recently going on strike.

“I belong to Saudi Arabia. I want to continue here,” he said. “It's a country that welcomed me, as well as my family and friends. I'm happy here and want to continue here.”

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner backed up his words with action on the pitch, scoring twice in Al Nassr’s emphatic victory over Al Hazem. His brace took his remarkable career tally to 964 goals — just 36 shy of the historic 1000-goal milestone.

The win lifted Al Nassr to the top of the Saudi Pro League table after rivals Al Hilal were held to a draw by Al Ittihad.

Ronaldo leads rout in style

Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 13th minute, finishing smartly inside the box to cap a flowing team move. Kingsley Coman doubled the advantage before the break after latching onto a precise pass from Joao Felix.

After Ângelo Gabriel added a third, Ronaldo sealed the rout in the 79th minute, steering home Coman’s assist to complete a dominant 4–0 display.

With form and focus aligned, Ronaldo appears determined to continue writing his legacy in Saudi Arabia.
