Guardiola reveals when Premier League title will be decided

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hinted that the Premier League title race could hinge on his side’s upcoming clash with Arsenal, stressing the importance of staying within touching distance of the league leaders.

Guardiola was speaking after City’s gritty 2–1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, a result that kept the gap between the defending champions and top-placed Arsenal at six points.

While acknowledging Arsenal’s strong position, Guardiola underlined that City’s focus is on consistency and pressure rather than prediction.

“Our job is to stay close. To be there all the time, pushing, and if they drop points or make a mistake, we have to be ready to take advantage,” the Spaniard said.

City’s win over Liverpool was only their second at Anfield under Guardiola, with key fixtures ahead, including a looming showdown with Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have set the pace this season with a blend of defensive solidity and attacking flair, but Guardiola remains confident that sustained pressure can alter the course of the race.
