The Nigerian long jump queen leaped a distance of 6.71m to finish third in the women's long jump event, behind world champion Ivana Vuleta with 6.88m and Burkina Faso's Marthe Koala in 6.77m.

Brume's performance is a significant confidence boost and improvement from Budapest, having had an unfortunate fourth-place finish to put an end to her history-making quest of becoming Nigeria's first three-time consecutive medallist in World Championships history.

It has also qualified her for the final leg of the Diamond League series in Oregon, where she'll gun to win Nigeria's first Diamond League trophy in the field events.
