The ex-Netherlands star made a controversial move in 2012 from Arsenal to their rivals, Manchester United.
This coming Sunday, one of the Premier League's biggest rivalries will be renewed as the two teams face off once again.
This time, the mood is somewhat different due to Arsenal's faltering title bid and United's poor performance under Ruben Amorim.
Van Persie speaks about Arsenal and Man United
Robin van Persie, a former player for both Arsenal and Manchester United, is avoiding further controversy.
Speaking to ESPN, via the Mirror, the Dutchman was questioned on who he favoured between his former teammates Wayne Rooney and Thierry Henry. He gave a straightforward response: “Pass because they’re both so different and very good.”
He provided a similar response when questioned about his preference between his two famous bosses, Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson, “Definitely both,” while he had a similar answer to a choice of either Arsenal or Man United.
Van Persie netted 132 goals during his 278 appearances for Arsenal prior to his contentious transfer to Manchester United, where he secured a Premier League title in his first season.
