AFC Leopards Edge Posta Rangers as FKF Premier League Title Race With Gor Mahia Heats Up

AFC Leopards silenced Posta Rangers with a dominant 2-0 victory in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League match played at the Nyayo Stadium, delivering a strong performance in front of their supporters.

The win strengthens their push for the title and keeps them firmly in the race as they continue chasing leaders Gor Mahia.

With this result, Leopards remain in second place and close the gap on Gor Mahia, ensuring the championship battle stays intense.

The hosts started brightly, with an early attacking move down the left involving Ronald Shichenje and Samuel Semo, but the Posta Rangers goalkeeper was equal to the effort.

The breakthrough came in the 11th minute when Kelly Madada unleashed a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area to give AFC Leopards the lead.

Moments later, AFC Leopards continued to apply pressure and earned a free kick just outside the box after Ronald Sichenje was fouled, though Tyson’s effort from the set piece narrowly struck the crossbar.

The home side maintained control despite a booking for Emmanuel Lwangu in the 20th minute, keeping their composure in midfield.

Their dominance paid off again in the 25th minute when Samuel Semo delivered a well-placed corner that found Kayci Odhiambo, who calmly finished into the bottom corner.
