Pulse Sports Nigeria journalist to represent Africa at Young Reporters Programme in China

'I am truly honoured to be a part of the Young Reporters Programme in China, and I am looking forward to the enriching experiences' - Hassan Abdulsalam has said to FISU.

Pulse Sports Nigeria's reporter Hassan Abdulsalam has been named in an elite list of 12 international Young Reporters who will cover the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games.

The announcement was made on Friday by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) ahead of the FISU Young Reporters Programme (YRP) scheduled for July 28 to August 8, 2023.

Participants reporting skills to be enhanced in Chengdu, China

The YRP being run in partnership with the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), will see Hassan and other selected participants help in covering the competitions on all of FISU's platforms.

Their contributions will include daily recaps, features articles, social media content and television interviews.

In return, they will acquire a broader experience and enhance their skills which should boost their beginning journalism or digital media career.

“I am truly honoured to be a part of the Young Reporters Programme in China, and I am looking forward to the enriching experiences and valuable learning opportunities it will bring," Hassan said to FISU following the announcement.

"I am eager to contribute my skills and passion to the programme,” he added.

Hassan covers Nigerian sports and majors in table tennis for Pulse Sports Nigeria.
