Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has become the latest victim of professional burglars, with his luxury home hit just before a crucial match.

A gang struck at the £100million striker’s luxury home just 48 hours before he played in the Toon’s 1-0 win at Fulham yesterday.

Three months earlier, Isak's teammate Joelinton experienced a similar ordeal when his nearby residence was targeted, raising suspicions of a potential connection between the two incidents.

The trend of targeting footballers during matches has become a concerning phenomenon, with notable players like Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain falling victim to these "away day gangs".

England stars Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have also been the victims of so-called 'away day gangs' who strike when they think players will be at matches.

According to authorities, as reported by the Sun, the raid on Isak's home was reported at 10 pm on Thursday, with the burglars believed to have gained entry through rear patio doors earlier that evening.

No-one has been arrested for that burglary and detectives will be investigating whether the same team is responsible," a police source revealed.

"It is not known whether Isak, 24, or any family were at home at the time or what, if anything, was taken," police stated.

"Cops confirmed a car was stolen and later found abandoned three miles away in Dissington," according to official statements.

The stolen vehicle remains undisclosed, while Isak, who has had a remarkable season with 19 goals, was seen arriving for training the next day in a green Mercedes G-Class wagon.
