Speaking on Sky Sports, Henry expressed his admiration for the two strikers, saying:
"You have two players who I would have loved to play with in the Premier League. Drogba and Anelka."
Henry recalled a recent conversation with two-time CAF Player of the Year Drogba, where they fantasized about playing together:
"I saw him [Drogba] the other day, and we were actually talking about it. We sat down at the airport, and I was like, "can you believe it if we played together?"
Henry believes that their playing styles would have complemented each other perfectly:
"He didn’t like to go too much out of that area, and I was more of a mover, a bit everywhere. It would’ve been a bit of a problem [for defenders]."
