United's struggle continues: Scholes criticizes attack after West Ham defeat

Manchester United's ongoing woes were laid bare in their recent 2-0 defeat to West Ham, prompting club legend Paul Scholes to offer a scathing assessment of the team's performance.

The Red Devils, who have been grappling with a goal drought, were unable to break down West Ham's defence, eventually conceding two goals in the latter stages of the match.

Scholes' Harsh Verdict: "Goalscoring is a Big Issue"

Scholes, speaking to TNT Sports as reported by the Sun, didn't mince words about United's attacking woes. "United have got problems. Goalscoring is a big issue.

"Four games without a goal or creating anything really," he said. His critique highlighted a concerning trend for United, where even their high-value forwards like the £80 million Antony and the £73 million Jadon Sancho are failing to make an impact.

Scholes emphasized the need for the attacking line to step up and find confidence, pointing out the lack of threat they currently pose.

Pressure Mounts on Ten Hag Ahead of Villa Clash

With United's next fixture being a challenging home game against Aston Villa, the pressure is mounting on manager Erik ten Hag.

Despite significant investment in the squad, United's performances have been underwhelming, raising questions about Ten Hag's future at the club.

Scholes summed up the situation by stating, "The easiest thing to coach is defending but the hardest thing as a coach is to get your team to score goals."

This upcoming match against a high-flying Villa side is crucial for Ten Hag to prove his mettle and turn the tide for Manchester United.
