Silva speaks on trio’s return from AFCON
Speaking to FFCtv, Silva expressed his satisfaction with the renewed energy and competition in training following their return.
"We were missing a competitive week. Believe me, in the past eight or nine weeks, we have been missing this type of week that we had in preparation for Brighton," Silva stated.
"Senior players around, competitive, loud sessions—and it is what we need for each player to reach the level to play in the way we want. It was a good week."
The Portuguese manager emphasised that the influence of his Nigerian players extends beyond their individual skills on the pitch.
"Three good players, not just individual qualities," Silva added, referring to the returning duo and another key player.
"When they are around, off the pitch, you feel that they are around. Definitely, the three big players for us."
With their international duties concluded, Iwobi and Bassey are now in contention to feature against Brighton at Craven Cottage and will be eager to make an immediate impact as Fulham look to secure a vital three points.
