The Super Eagles’ presence is stronger than ever, with players showing African excellence across clubs in London, Nottingham, and beyond.

Here’s a list of seven Nigerian players set to impress fans with their skills and contributions throughout the season.

1. Emmanuel Dennis – Nottingham Forest

An exciting forward with pace and agility, Dennis offers Nottingham Forest dynamic attacking options.

However, the 27-year-old has been a sort of journey man, spending the last three seasons on loan in Turkey and Championship sides, Watford and Blackburn Rovers.

Heading into the new season, Dennis will be hoping for a renewed hope and better forturne. His versatility allows him to operate across the front line, making him a constant threat to opposition defenses.

2. Ola Aina – Nottingham Forest

Easily Nigeria’s best performer last season in the Premier League, defender Ola Aina was an inspirational presence as Nottingham Forest earned a European spot.

Right-back Ola Aina brings defensive solidity and attacking impetus to Forest's lineup as they look to prove last season was no fluke.

His versatility and work rate make him a dependable player in both defense and support for forward moves.

3. Alex Iwobi – Fulham

A seasoned midfielder known for his creativity, vision, and goal involvements, Iwobi continues to be a key figure for Fulham.

Last season was a record-breaking season for Iwobi, who scored nine goals and provided six assists in the most popular league.

4. Taiwo Awoniyi – Nottingham Forest

Anothing Nigerian at Nottingham Forest is former Bundesliga star, Awoniyi, who is a physical striker known for his power and clinical finishing.

Now a key figure at Nottingham Forest, he consistently poses challenges for defenders and aims to improve his goal tally in the Premier League.

But last season was one of mixed fortune for the forward, who struggled with injuries, including a career-threatening one that landed him in the hospital. Awoniyi will be hoping for better fitness this time.

5. Calvin Bassey – Fulham

Bassey has established himself as a formidable defender at Fulham, excelling at the back with his strength and positioning.

Last term, Bassey beat teammate and friend Iwobi to the Fulham Player of the Year, a trophy he recently received from the Cottagers ahead of the new campaign.

6. Frank Onyeka – Brentford

Central midfielder Frank Onyeka is praised for his ball-winning ability and tactical intelligence.
