The venue for Nigeria's FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe has finally been decided.

The Super Eagles will battle with South Africa, Rwanda, Lesotho, Benin, and Zimbabwe for the single qualification ticket in Group C.

Super Eagles to tackle Zimbabwe in Rwanda

According to latest reports, Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA)'s interim committee has approved Rwanda as the home ground for the 2026 FIFA World Qualifiers.

This comes days after Zimbabwean Deputy Minister of Sports Arts and Culture Emily Jesaya admitted the country was still unable to host international events.

She said: "As a Ministry of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture, we are glad the suspension or ban has been lifted and we are now able to compete at the international level.

"With regard to hosting soccer matches as a country, we are unable to host soccer matches in this country."

Nigeria will now take on Zimbabwe in Rwanda on the 18th of November.
