In a post on social media, Rwanda promised to do better when next they take to the field against South Africa.
The statement by the team said, "To you supporters,
"You gave your all, we felt every ounce of your passion.
"Tonight, we bow our heads, not in defeat, but in gratitude.
"We’ll rise again, stronger, sharper, hungrier. Next time, we’ll make it count , for you and for the nation."
This pledge comes ahead of Rwanda’s final group game against South Africa while Nigeria will face Benin in a crucial fixture that could determine the group’s outcome.
