The midfielder is a target for a number of clubs given how he performed last term with the relegated Saints.

Southampton teenager Romeo Lavia would prefer to join Arsenal over Chelsea and Liverpool.

The 19-year-old has attracted interest from Chelsea and Liverpool but is keen to make a move to North London instead. Lavia had an outstanding season with Southampton after joining them from Manchester City.

Given Mikel Arteta's ability to develop young talents, Lavia is leaning towards a move to Arsenal despite interest from elsewhere.

The Gunners could part ways with Thomas Partey and are close to signing Declan Rice, but there is more room at the club given that Granit Xhaka is also set to leave. That leaves the door open for Lavia to join.

Reports indicate that Arsenal can offer better wages for Lavia than what Liverpool and Chelsea. The Gunners are also in the Champions League, and that makes them more attractive.

A lot will depend on whether Partey is sold this summer, though. Should the Ghanaian, who was signed from Atletico Madrid, stay put at the Emirates, Liverpool or Chelsea could suddenly find themselves pipping Arsenal for the talented Belgian sensation.
