Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has finally responded to reports suggesting he broke a television in the dressing room after his side’s 3-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.

The incident reportedly occurred as Amorim vented his frustration over the team’s lacklustre performance.

While he did not explicitly confirm the claims, the Portuguese coach admitted to letting his emotions get the better of him in moments of frustration.

Addressing reporters ahead of his team’s Europa League clash with Rangers, he responded to the question regarding the incident by reminding everyone where he is at emotionally.

“I’m a young guy, and sometimes I make a mistake. That’s why I don’t talk about it after the game,” Amorim said during the press conference.

“This game, I needed to talk, and maybe it was a mistake. Then I get more nervous and go to the press conference really nervous. Then you say things that you shouldn’t say, and that’s it. Sometimes you are a young guy, and then do mistakes, and you improve.

The 39-year-old, who has been under increasing scrutiny due to United’s inconsistent form, emphasised his commitment to learning from his actions while acknowledging his human flaws.

“I don’t promise you that I won’t do it again, but I will try to improve,” Amorim added.

With a critical Europa League clash against Rangers looming, Amorim’s ability to channel his passion into positive results will be under the spotlight.
