Salah's agent speaks on reports suggesting his client could leave Liverpool if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Mohammed Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has dispelled rumours suggesting the Egyptian would push for a move out of Anfield if Liverpool fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Liverpool are currently seventh in the Premier League, nine points adrift of the top four, having played two games less than current 4th place Tottenham.

Abbas rubbishes rumours

Ramy Abbas, Salah's agent, responded to a post on the Anfield Watch Twitter account, which claimed Salah could leave Liverpool if the Reds fail to qualify for the UCL.

The Egypt international's agent proclaims that not qualifying for the European elite competition has not even crossed their mind, ergo he and his client have not discussed or thought about leaving Liverpool.

Salah recently signed a new contract with Liverpool last summer, which according to Salary Sport is worth £350,000 until the summer of 2025, making him the highest-paid player at the club.

Salah and Liverpool struggling this season

Salah is having an underwhelming season by his own standards, having scored only eight goals in 23 games, and missing 12 big chances, underperforming his 10.58xG by 2.58.

Liverpool also find themselves in an unfamiliar seventh position, risking not qualifying for the Champions League next season.

However, winning the two games they have to make up against current fourth-place Tottenham would leave them only three points adrift of the top four.

Liverpool’s next two games in the Premier League is at Anfield where they would host Wolves and current League Cup champions Manchester United.
