AFC Leopards will aim for revenge against Bandari in a critical Kenyan Premier League match at Dandora Stadium this Sunday.

Revenge is on the menu when local giants AFC Leopards host title-chasing Bandari at Dandora Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

After a disappointing 1-0 loss to rivals Gor Mahia in the Mashemeji Derby, Leopards are hungry to turn the tables and secure a crucial victory against Bandari.

With the match originally scheduled for Nyayo National Stadium a venue change to Dandora Stadium adds an extra layer of anticipation to this showdown.

The recent setbacks for AFC Leopards, including the hefty fine imposed due to fan misconduct during the Mashemeji Derby have only fueled their determination to emerge triumphant against Bandari. Losing 1-0 to Bandari in the first leg of the season adds further motivation for Ingwe to seek redemption on their home turf.

Bandari, however, pose a formidable challenge, despite their recent struggles with a winless streak in their last three games.

The Mombasa-based side suffered a setback in their last away game falling 1-0 to Ulinzi Stars FC.

Nevertheless, Bandari coach John Barasa remains optimistic about his team's chances emphasising their determination to compete for the national title.

"From a casual point of view, the title looks out of everyone else's reach given the huge gap Gor have opened at the top. But I strongly believe we still stand a mathematical chance depending on how things turn out in the next few months," Baraza remarked as per The Star.

"There is no guarantee Gor will win all their remaining matches. I also don't see why we should not win all our remaining matches. We still have seven more rounds left and there is still a huge possibility we might win the league," he added.

The upcoming clash between AFC Leopards and Bandari promises to be an intense battle as both teams vie for crucial points in their respective league campaigns.

With AFC Leopards currently sitting in ninth place with 39 points and Bandari in fourth place with 45 points, a victory for either side could significantly impact their standings in the league table.

Meanwhile, at the Mumias Sports Complex, Kakamega Homeboyz will be seeking redemption after their recent Cup exit when they face off against Kenya Police FC.

Homeboyz suffered a disappointing defeat in the Mozzart Bet Cup semifinals against KCB and will be eager to bounce back with a win against a resilient Police side.

Despite facing a formidable opponent in Kenya Police FC, who remain unbeaten across all competitions in 2024 Homeboyz are determined to put up a strong fight.

However, their task will not be easy especially considering Police's dominant performance in their previous encounter, securing a comfortable 3-0 victory.

In other matchups, Nairobi City Stars will host Ulinzi Stars in Machakos, while Posta Rangers will take on FC Talanta.
