Mo Salah’s exit from Liverpool is edging closer as reports suggest that a date has been set for his proposed move.

The news of Mohamed Salah’s possible move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad broke a few weeks ago and reports have suggested that the move is imminent.

Following the shocking pursuit's disclosure last week, Jürgen Klopp openly disregarded the link prior to his team's weekend triumph at Newcastle.

However, according to reports, Mohamed Salah could depart Liverpool before this week's transfer deadline.

Salah's move imminent

Former Premier League midfielder Jan Aage Fjortoft has said that Salah’s move to Al-Ittihad could happen this week before the transfer window closes.

Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Premier League has expressed a great interest in Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.

However, the Reds are not ready to listen to any offer for their star player according to a recent report from Mail Sport.

Fjortoft, a former player for Middlesbrough and Sheffield United, added fuel to the fire on Wednesday by making a startling assertion in a social media post.

He posted on his Twitter account saying, “I understand it's likely that Salah will leave Liverpool this week.

Fjortoft then added more information in a subsequent tweet, stating, “The money offered to player AND club is just unbelievable.

“The fact that the transfer window in Saudi Arabia closes 7th of September (as stated at Saudi - FA site - other places says even 20th) makes this also more complicated.'

According to reports, Al-Ittihad is determined to sign the mercurial frontman and is willing to spend a fortune to do so.

They are now finalising the numbers in preparation for an astronomical offer that they hope will persuade Liverpool to sell Salah.
