Manchester City have reportedly identified a replacement for Pep Guardiola, who is expected to leave the club this summer.
Pep Guardiola could say goodbye to Manchester City this summer after a hugely successful ten years at the helm.
The 55-year-old, whose contract runs until 2027, has overseen a decade of dominance, but City's recent slump, winning just one league game in 2026, has fueled exit rumors.
City's 2-2 draw with Tottenham, which saw them squander a two-goal lead, left them six points behind Arsenal in the Premier League.

Arsenal's title to lose: Guardiola's Manchester City simply not good enough to catch Gunners
Manchester City’s hope of winning the Premier League took a massive hit on Sunday as they threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2–2 with Tottenham.
Cesc Fabregas to replace Guardiola at Man City?
According to a report in the Telegraph, several players appear demotivated and out of form, as if anticipating Guardiola's departure.
There is a growing sense among City’s rivals and within the Premier League that Guardiola, 55, will leave, and the Etihad club have started working on succession plans.
According to reports, City have lined up three potential replacements for Pep: Xabi Alonso, Enzo Maresca, and Como boss Cesc Fabregas, who played under Guardiola at Barcelona.
Maresca, who worked at City as Guardiola’s assistant, informed Chelsea that he had spoken to representatives of City and Juventus before being sacked by the Stamford Bridge club last month.
The Italian, who is now out of work, will likely be interviewed for the role, should it become available.
Fàbregas, who rose to fame at Arsenal before stints at Barcelona and Chelsea, has impressed in his managerial debut at Italian side Como. Since taking over in July 2024, the 38-year-old has guided the newly promoted club to sixth place in Serie A, earning plaudits for his tactical acumen and player development.
Sources indicate Fàbregas would only consider leaving for a top-tier Premier League or European role, making City an ideal fit.
While there is no guarantee Guardiola will leave in the summer, City's inconsistent performances have seen fans call for a change in the dugout, with some even questioning the Spaniard's tactics and inability to formulate a system to curtail counter-attacks.
Guardiola, who has delivered six Premier League titles since 2016, recently missed media duties to deliver a speech in Barcelona supporting children in Palestine.
