Goals from Federico Valverde and Marco Asensio ensured Real Madrid got all three points against Osasuna.
Real Madrid left it late to beat Osasuna 2-0 at the Estadio El Sadar to keep their La Liga hopes alive.
How it happened
The first ten minutes were lively in Pamplona. Vinicius Junior outmuscled Osasuna defender Jon Moncayola and saw his effort saved by Sergio Herrera.
Minutes later, a fierce long-range strike from Moi Gomez was pushed to safety by Thibaut Courtois.
Osasuna were looking to catch Madrid on the break and Ante Budimir fired wide from just outside the box.
It was the visitors' turn to threaten the scoresheet as Rodrygo came within inches of breaking the deadlock with a curling effort that flew just inches past the far post.
Vinicius then had the ball in the net for Madrid but it was disallowed for offside.
The contest was starting to come to life, as a Gomez effort clipped the outside of the post for Osasuna before Moncayola flashed a shot wide.
Los Blancos got the opener as Federico Valverde surged into the box to meet Vinicius’ cross with a sublime side-footed finish.
Marco Asensio made sure of the three points in stoppage time with a left-footed strike from inside the box.
