Otieno has enjoyed a recent run of form for Leicester's development squad recently, which could earn him permanent promotion to the first team.

Leicester City’s Kenyan winger Silko Amari Otieno Thomas continued his recent good run of form as he grabbed an assist during their 2-2 draw with Aston Villa in a Premier League 2 encounter that took place on Friday evening.

Otieno has been on a good run of form this season, and has scored five goals and registered one assist in 12 games for the Foxes’ development side this season.

He has already declared an ambition to make the first team on a permanent basis as they continue their quest to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking at the end of the season.

Otieno has also scored in the Premier League Cup, as well as finding the net in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

He has developed well as a winger since leaving Chelsea, where he played mostly as a wing back.

The young Foxes started off with Joe Wormleighton as captain and Sammy Braybrooke in holding midfield but found themselves a goal down after six minutes when Jamaldeen Jimoh broke the deadlock for the hosts.

It didn't take City long, however, to get back into the game when skipper Wormleighton levelled things up four minutes later, being assisted by Otieno. At the half-hour mark, Leicester then took the advantage before the break when Tawanda Maswanhise supplied Arjan Raikhy.

Ten minutes from the restart, the home side were back in it when Kobei Moore got the chance from 12 yards, which he converted, leaving it all to play for it the final stages.

But that spot-kick was the last piece of action to happen, as the points were shared in PL2, leaving Leicester in the bottom half of the standings with 13 points, as they now look forward to another away league test in a week's time against Sunderland.
