Victor Osimhen continues to break records for Napoli with another goal against Cremonese

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen continued his fine goalscoring run with yet another goal for Napoli in a 3-0 win over Cremonese.

The Super Eagles striker scored Napoli's second goal with a simple finish from close range to take his tally to 17 league goals this season.

That goal made it the sixth consecutive game in which Osimhen has scored in Serie A so far which is a Napoli record.

Osimhen enters Napoli history books

Osimhen's goal against Cremonese was his eighth in the last six games having scored in each of those games to put together a strong scoring run.

Osimhen scored Napoli's second goal against Cremonese

The Nigerian striker shattered Gonzalo Higuain’s record of scoring in five consecutive league games for Napoli.

Higuain set the record in the 2015/16 season by scoring in five straight Serie A games but Osimhen has now done one better.

Osimhen started the run with a goal against Sampdoria followed by a brace and an assist against Juventus.

Osimhen was fantastic against Juventus

The 24-year-old scored a goal each against Salernitana and Roma followed with a brace against Spezia and most recently one more against Cremonese to extend the run to six games.

Osimhen has now scored 17 goals in 18 league games this season making him the top scorer in Serie A, he can now extend his scoring record to seven league games when Napoli visits Sassuolo on Friday.
