Nigerian strikers David Okereke and Cyriel Dessers are in doubt for Cremonese's Serie A game against Victor Osimhen and Napoli

Cremonese might be without two key players in David Okereke and Cyriel Dessers when they take on Napoli away from home on Sunday.

La Cremo are the only winless team in Serie A this season and their search for that elusive win has suffered a massive blow.

Cremonese visit league leaders Napoli with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen in superb form but they could reportedly be without their own Nigerian strikers.

Napoli Magazine reports that Nigerian strikers Dessers and Okerere may miss the tie against Napoli on Sunday because of niggling injuries.

This is a huge blow to Cremonese particularly because both Super Eagles strikers have contributed immensely in their first two clashes against Napoli.

When both clubs squared off in the Serie A earlier this season, Dessers scored for Cremonese. And the second time in the Copa Italia, Okereke assisted Charles Pickel’s goal for Cremonese.

Okereke is currently the leading scorer for Cremonese this season with five goals while Dessers is joint-second with three goals.

Their opponents on the other hand have Osimhen leading the line, the Nigerian striker who has scored 16 goals in 17 league games this season making him the top scorer in the league.

Cremonese shocked Napoli in the Coppa Italia in January with a penalty shootout win at the Diego Maradona Stadium.

Cremonese coach Ballardini would hope that his players return to action and help spur their side to victory. The two Super Eagles strikers will have to undergo a late fitness test so that they can be passed fit for the fixture.
