Manchester United have been handed a huge boost by reports that Victor Osimhen is keen on a move to the Premier League

Premier League giants Manchester United have been given a huge boost in their pursuit of a new striker this summer.

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen remains firmly on the Red Devils’ radar, and the latest updates suggest that a Premier League move could be on the cards for the Super Eagles star

Manchester United intensify search for elite striker

It is no secret that Manchester United are reshaping their attack this summer, and the club has already made waves with the £62.5 million signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

With Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford expected to follow shortly, Manchester United’s front line is beginning to look sharp and dangerous again.

However, there is still a glaring need for a proper No. 9, someone who can finish, bully defenders, and lead the line with goals.

Viktor Gyokeres has been in the headlines, but Victor Osimhen continues to be one of the top-tier names on United’s list.

Osimhen eyes Premier League move

According to respected transfer expert Graeme Bailey, the Napoli striker is not chasing the biggest paycheck.

Speaking in a recent interview, Bailey said, “I understand after talking with a source close to the player that we can confirm Osimhen is not basing his decision on money, if he were, he would have accepted the Saudi offer.

“He does, however, believe he is one of the best strikers in world football and wants to be paid as such, which doesn’t mean he will be demanding Saudi money from United. He knows United are an option and he wants to come to England. Chelsea is not an option; however, I am told not to rule out Liverpool.”

Champions League football is not a must right now, but Osimhen is also not looking to play in obscurity either. The ambition, the league, and the stage matter, and Manchester United are ticking a lot of boxes.
