NWFL NRA suspends 9 referees for poor performance

The referees were suspended based on their poor Performance in the Nigeria Women’s Football League.

The Nigeria Referee Association (NRA) has suspended Three Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Centre Referees and their assistants indefinitely.

The NRA Secretary said in a statement that three Center Referee namely Joy Ogunboye from the Ondo Referee Association, Beatrice Paul from the Taraba Referee Association, and Olufunke Adesola from the Oyo Referee Association were all suspended indefinitely.

The Assistant Referees Suspended are; Olusi Kikelomo, and Ajirotutu Esther all from Ondo State, Elizabeth Yunusa Gombe and Wurba Bwulli Ruth from Plateau State, Rofiat Abdulrasheed and Aladenika Adetutu from Oyo and Ondo state respectively.

NRA summons suspended referees

The NRA has summoned the suspended referees to appear before the Referee’s Committee to answer questions relating to questionable officiating in the matches they officiated.

Heartland Queens and Bayelsa Queens in action on day three

The officials are involved in NWFL games; Osun Babes vs Delta Queens, Adamawa Queens vs Nasarawa Amazons, and Rivers Angels vs Delta Queens.

NWFL enters matchday 7

The Nigeria Women’s Football League enters day seven on Wednesday with interesting fixtures across six centers.

Rivers Angels

The defending champion will host Delta Queens at the Samson Siasia stadium in Yenagoa. Dan Anyim stadium in Imo state will host the clash between Heartland Queens and Osun Babes.

The last game in Group A will be at the Sapele township stadium when Royal Queens hosts former champions Rivers Angels.

In Group B, Robo Queens will be at the legacy pitch, Surulere for a date with Adamawa Queens, and  Nasarawa Amazons host Abia Angels at the Aper Aku stadium, Benue Stadium. Ibom Angels and Confluence will lock horns at the Godswill Akpabio stadium, Uyo.

All games will be played on Wednesday simultaneously by 4 pm across all centers.
