AC Milan are looking to resume negotiations with Fulham for the transfer of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze.

Chukwueze has found it difficult to get back to his best since joining the Italian side from Villarreal.

He has been linked to several clubs, with the Cottagers close to signing the 25-year-old winger during the January transfer window.

Milan are seeking to arrange a transfer for Chukwueze during the summer window due to his limited playing time.

Chukwueze’s future

According to Sports Witness, the former Villarreal winger remains a target for Marco Silva's team in the summer.

Milan paid €12m more to acquire Chukwueze from the Yellow Submarines last season than his current valuation of between €12m and €15m.

Although Real Betis and Sevilla have also expressed interest in the Super Eagles winger, Fulham are reportedly leading the race to sign him.

The Nigerian international has received offers from Spain, but it appears that Fulham currently have the advantage in securing his services.

Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, both Super Eagles, are already at Fulham and Chukwueze would likely feel comfortable at Craven Cottage and settle in well with his teammates.

Fulham are currently 9th in the English Premier League, while Milan are 9th in the Serie A table, five points below the UEFA Conference League qualification spot.
