The Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) have announced a new date for its Super 6 playoff, which had been postponed due to a clash of dates with the maiden edition of the WAFU B U-20 Women’s Cup.

The Super 6 playoff, designed to determine the winner of the women's league and Nigeria's representatives for the regional qualifiers of the CAF Women's Champions League, was originally slated for May 5 to May 12, 2023.

NWFL Super 6 to kick off June 9

Upon realization that the playoff series would be disrupted by the WAFU B U-20 Women’s Cup which is to hold in Kumasi, Ghana, from May 20 to June 3, the NWFL indicated that the Super 6 had been temporarily halted.

Now, the league's body have announced that upon completion of the WAFU tournament, the NWFL Super 6 will take centre stage from June 9, and run through to June 16.

The body made the announcement on Tuesday.
