Serie A champions Napoli reportedly eye former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte as they seek to return stability

Serie A powerhouse Napoli is ramping up efforts to secure Antonio Conte as their next manager amidst a season marked by managerial upheaval.

A report from Tutto Mercato Web claims Napoli's determined pursuit of Conte highlights the club's desire for stability following a turbulent campaign under multiple managers.

Alongside Conte, other notable names such as Gian Piero Gasperini and Vincenzo Italiano have been linked to the managerial role, signalling Napoli's intent to appoint a figurehead capable of steering the club to success.

Napoli chasing stability

Club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis is spearheading Napoli's efforts, setting in motion plans to lure Conte to the helm. The club is reportedly prepared to offer Conte a lucrative three-year contract worth €8 million annually, underscoring their commitment to securing his services.

Despite the enticing proposal, however, Conte is taking time to deliberate on the offer, reflecting the gravity of the decision at hand. Should negotiations with Conte falter, Napoli has alternative options lined up, with Gasperini emerging as a prominent contender.

Gasperini's recent success in guiding Atalanta to the semi-finals of the Europa League enhances his appeal, potentially paving the way for a departure from La Dea.

Additionally, Stefano Pioli, amid speculation surrounding his exit from Milan, remains in contention for the Napoli managerial role, further diversifying the club's options as they seek to chart a course for future success.
