Premier League defending champions Manchester City are reportedly in talks to hijack Real Madrid's move for Kylian Mbappe.

Manchester City are actively pursuing the signing of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe and have initiated discussions with his representatives, as reported by the Spanish radio network Cadena SER.

Mbappe is primed to leave the French capital this summer when his contract expires and all early indications have pointed to Real Madrid as his next destination.

There have been rumours of interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, and Barcelona but nothing concrete yet.

However, Cadena SER have now reported that Manchester City plan to insert themselves in the race for his signature, especially with rumours surrounding Jack Grealish's future at the club.

It has long been assumed that Mbappe will sign for Real Madrid, but there are rumours that the LaLiga giants are struggling to reach an agreement on wages.
