Okoye Maduka and Udinese suffered a painful defeat in a rescheduled clash against AS Roma in the Serie.

In a rescheduled clash in the Serie A, Udinese's Okoye Maduka put on a valiant display, but it was not enough to prevent his team from suffering a painful defeat against AS Roma.

The match was a continuation of a suspended game following the collapse of Ivorian defender Evan Ndicka during the initial encounter.

Maduka, the 24-year-old Super Eagles outcast, made two stunning saves in the final 18 minutes of the match, showcasing his impressive shot-stopping abilities.

However, his efforts were ultimately undone in the dying moments of the game, as Roma's Bryan Cristante scored a late header to seal the victory for the visitors.

The defeat is a significant blow for Udinese, who were hoping to secure a positive result against the formidable Roma side.

Maduka's performance, though, will undoubtedly provide a glimmer of hope for the team and their supporters, as they look to bounce back from this setback.

The young goalkeeper, who has been overlooked by the Nigerian national team, will be hoping that his impressive display will catch the attention of the Super Eagles coaching staff and earn him a recall to the team soon.

Udinese and Maduka will be determined to learn from this experience and use it as motivation to push for better results in the upcoming matches to preserve their Serie A status.
