Roma could only get a draw against Torino despite Lukaku’s effort giving them the advantage.

Jose Mourinho’s men were looking to build from their back-to-back win against Empoli in the Serie A and Sheriff in the Europa League.

However, they were only able to settle for a 1-1 draw against Torino despite previously thrashing Empoli last weekend.

Roma got the first goal of the game through Romelu Lukaku in the second half and were looking like they would secure another win but Torino shocked them with the equaliser from Duvan Zapata.

As it happened

Torino manager Paulo Sousa made just one change to his team that won 3-0 away from home against Salernitana.

Jose Mourinho on the other hand made five changes to his side that won 2-1 against Sheriff in the UEFA Europa League.

The game started with the home side creating the first chance of the game but could not get the ball past the goalkeeper.

The first half ended with no goals scored by both teams and they went into the break to work on their tactics.

Both teams came out for the second half as they searched for the first goal of the game after a difficult first half.

The game did not come alive not until the 69th minute when Roma scored the first goal of the game.

Romelu Lukaku had acres of space after latching on to a precise pass into the box. He doesn't hesitate to release a low effort which ends up in the bottom right corner.

Torino kept pushing and their effort was rewarded when Duvan Zapata won the ball inside the box from the free kick and planted a header inside the left post.

The referee blew the whistle for full time with Mourinho’s side only able to get a draw despite taking the lead in the second half.
