Eddie Nketiah will reportedly leave Arsenal following the arrival of Kai Havertz from Chelsea this summer.

The arrival of Kai Havertz would mean Eddie Nketiah will be out of sorts in Mikel Arteta’s squad next season.

The £65m move for the German attacking midfielder will be completed in the week after his medical with Arsenal.

And Havertz will be played as a second striker or be involved in a midfield pairing with Martin Odegaard in the new look attack at the Emirates.

Nketiah had reasonable playing time when Gabrel Jesus went on a lengthy injury spell during the 2022 World Cup.

The 24-year-old scored nine goals and provided three assists in the entire season for Arsenal during their second place finish in the Premier League.

According to British news media outlet The Sun, Nketiah has attracted interest from London clubs including West Ham, Crystal Palace and Fulham.

Arsenal will be playing in the lucrative Champions League next season and it is likely Nketiah will not have a taste of topflight action,

A move to west London would at least guarantee a place for the former England U20 who is yet to decide whether to pledge his allegiance to his ancestral country Ghana.
